“How long will it take?” is one of the first questions we get from every new client — right after “how much does it cost?” The honest answer is: it depends on what you’re building, but most business websites in Albania take 2 to 6 weeks from kickoff to launch. Here’s what actually determines where your project falls on that range.
Typical timelines by project type
Every project is different, but these are realistic ranges based on the kind of website you need:
- Simple business site (5–8 pages): 2–4 weeks — a clean, custom-designed site with your services, about page and contact form.
- Standard business or brand site with custom features: 3–6 weeks — the range most of our clients fall into, including custom sections, integrations and content work.
- E-commerce store or booking system: 6–10 weeks — product catalogues, payment integration, shipping rules and testing take longer to get right.
- Custom software or web application: 4–12+ weeks — depends entirely on scope; a simple internal tool is much faster than a multi-user platform with integrations.
If you want a custom-coded website, budget on the higher end of these ranges — hand-built sites take a bit longer than template-based ones, but they load faster, rank better and don’t lock you into a page builder.
What actually affects the timeline
The biggest delays we see aren’t technical — they’re logistical. In order of impact:
- Content readiness. If your text, photos and logo are ready on day one, we can move fast. If we’re waiting on content, the project pauses with us.
- Feedback turnaround. A design review that takes you 3 days instead of 3 weeks keeps the whole project moving at the pace we quoted.
- Number of revision rounds. Most projects include 2 rounds of design feedback. Extra rounds beyond that add time.
- Complexity and integrations. A booking calendar, payment gateway or custom API connection each add real development time — not because it’s hard, but because it needs proper testing.
Our process, start to finish
For a typical business website, here’s how the 3–6 weeks usually breaks down:
- Plan & set up (week 1): We turn your requirements into a clear build plan and get the development environment ready.
- Build (weeks 2–4): Your theme, features and integrations get built to spec — this is the bulk of the timeline.
- Test & optimise (week 4–5): Cross-device testing, speed tuning and SEO-ready markup throughout.
- Launch & support (final week): We deploy your site and stay on for updates and fixes after launch.
How to speed things up on your end
The single biggest lever you control is content. Have your text, logo and photos ready before the project starts, respond to design reviews within a few days, and try to make decisions once rather than changing direction midway. Clients who do this consistently launch at the fast end of our estimates.
Frequently asked questions
Can a website be built in a week?
For a very simple, single-page site with content ready to go, yes. For anything with multiple pages, custom design and real functionality, a week isn’t realistic if you want it done properly.
What slows a project down the most?
Waiting on content and slow feedback, by far. Technical complexity matters too, but it’s predictable — content delays are the main reason a 4-week project turns into an 8-week one.
Do you offer rush delivery?
Sometimes, depending on our schedule and the scope of the project. Tell us your deadline when you reach out and we’ll be upfront about whether it’s realistic.
